Friday Photo: Meols infants 1920s

Many thanks to Mike Wilson for sending in this photo (click for larger) of a class at Meols Infants School circa 1920.

The teacher was Mrs. Morgan, and Mike’s father, Harry Wilson is third from the right on the back row.

Do you recognise anyone – please leave a comment below if you do.

  1. My Gran may be in this photo along with her sisters and brother?

They were Amson’s from Saughall Massey. My Gran told me they use to walk to the school as children.

There nanmes were George, Annie Loiusie, Ethel and Bessie.

    Cheers Steve

  2. I have a photograph of the tooth factory that used to be at the bottom of Celtic Road in Meols many years ago! My father worked there and my grandfather was one of the bosses. Also lots of photos of the Hoots Party that my father was involved in during the fifties – they were an entertainment group who did concerts (all comical) at a hall in Hoylake. My maiden name was Evans.
